On Sunday, July 6, The Emergency Operations Centre was activated to support the Rockface Wildfire (Whelan Creek) adjacent to the Kelowna International Airport.
As of Thursday, July 9, 2025, BC Wildfire has classified the Whelan Creek Wildfire out and other safety measures were completed to rescind the evacuation alert.
