Kalamoir Park wildfire prompts tactical evacuations in West Kelowna
WEST KELOWNA, B.C. – Tactical evacuations underway for the Kalamoir Park wildfire in the areas of Casa Loma and Lakeview Heights:
Lakeview Heights

- Lakeview Road
- Lake Ridge Road
- Weatherhill Road
Casa Loma areas:
- Casa Loma Road
- Benedick Road
- Lucinde Road
- Casa Palmero Road
- Alice Road
- Portions of Campbell Road

The Central Okanagan Emergency Operations Centre has been activated to support fire crews, along with BC Wildfire Service.
For public safety reasons, residents and visitors are reminded to maintain a safe distance from the fire and all fire suppression activities. Motorists are reminded that they should not be stopping along roadways to observe or take photos of the wildfire and to allow crews to safely do their work. Motorists are to follow the direction of road crews.
New information will be released to the public and media as soon as it becomes available.

- Avoid the area so emergency responders can effectively perform their duties
- Please only CALL 911 in case of emergency

Emergency support services (ESS)
A muster centre has been opened at Westbank Lions Hall located at 2466 Main Street in West Kelowna to receive evacuees. People needing support during an evacuation are encouraged to create a profile online at ESS.gov.bc.ca. People who have created a profile can log into the online self-service registration tool to receive instructions on the types of support available and how they can be accessed.
A State of Local Emergency has been declared for the City of West Kelown due to immenent threat to people and property within the area.
