Evacuation alerts lifted for Bald Range Wildfire
Central Okanagan Electoral Area West and Peachland B.C. – The remaining Evacuation Alerts for all properties in Peachland and Electoral Area West due to the Bald Range wildfire have been lifted.
Although the Bald Range wildfire remains classified as Out of Control, BC Wildfire Service has concluded that the threat to these communities has passed.
Crews will continue mop up operations along the north and south flanks moving east to west and dousing any remaining heat 50 feet in from the fire’s edge. Fire behaviour on these flanks remains low.
